Let Them Eat Cake!

A wonderful theme for your wedding, bridal shower, or even a birthday party! Is the once young queen of France, Marie Antoinette.  Marie was the poster child for French high society during the 18th century; her rein coincided with the French Rococo movement.  A style that was known for flowery femininity, elaborate design, and light pastel colors. It was a time of decadence and beauty for the wealthy.  So in true French High Society Style, channel Marie and indulge yourself and your guests with a little help from Colette’s.

Transform your space into a luxurious Parisian Château ala Marie Antoinette, by choosing a soft pastel color scheme but don’t feel limited to two or three colors embrace the indulgence of the era with an array of delicate hues.

This love seat from FOUND vintage rentals is the perfect accompaniment to your party.
And to truly capture the theme try incorporating some fun French food, and serving the traditional 5 course meal. We created this menu with a few of our favorites

Brie Boucle

With apricot on toast

Chilled Parsnip Soup

Herb Roasted Hen

With Glazed Haricots Vert

Formage plate

Apple Tartine
Marie Antoinette was also infamous for saying “Let Them Eat Cake” so how could we not incorporate a lavish Dessert Bar! With French macaroons and petites as far as the eye can see you and your guests will be reliving the lavish lifestyle of Marie and her court. All of these delightful little desserts not only taste great, but are also available in a variety of colors to match any event you have.  And of course you can’t forget the “cake” like these adorable cupcakes from the cake goddesses!
